About Acupressure

Acupressure is a 6000 year old healing system that originated in China.
Its basic premise is that there are currents of energy that flow up and down the body.
These currents can be called channels or meridians.
If the flow of this energy is blocked along these channels,
there will be stagnation, possibly pain and eventually health problems.

Pressing points along these channels will help to bring harmony
and relaxation to a person's overall being.
Acupressure  can
release chronic knots in the muscles and block pain.
Acupressure will also  increase energy
and the circulation  of oxygen, blood, lymph and water around the body.

Some of the conditions that acupressure can help relieve are headaches,
neck and shoulder tension, back pain and sciatica, carpel tunnel syndrome,
tmj or jaw problems, arthritis, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome,
sinus or allergies, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

With acupressure the immune system can be strengthened, digestive issues can be cleared,
mental faculties can be sharpened and improved.
Overall, acupressure can help a person's body cope with stress
and turn it into positive energy.
Having regular acupressure therapy can complement and enhance the effects of exercise,
yoga, medical care, physical therapy and chiropractic treatments.

Acupressure can make whatever is done for the body and mind more effective.
